Which Bert Ligon book is best for studying improvisation? I found the outlines became really useful when I figured out how to extend their length to double so they last for a full measure of eight notes instead of just resoures beats when in eighth notes as shown thoughout most of his book. Levine and actually buy it, but from what I’ve read on it, it’s an amazing tool for learning jazz theory. I found that I didn’t really understand most of the theory until I was able to play it on the piano I’m a saxophonist by trade.
